Board of Directors


Al Kasper, President
He is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of Savage Arms Inc. headquartered in Westfield Mass. He has 25 years of experience in a variety of Manufacturing Companies. He has a BSBA degree in accounting from Western New England College (1978) and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts (1988). He is currently a board member for Savage Sports Corp, Junior Achievement, Wmass Chapter of APICS, East Longmeadow Educational Endowment Fund, East Longmeadow Basketball Association and an STCC Foundation Trustee. He currently resides in East Longmeadow along with his wife Carol and their three children.
Damon D'Amico, Vice President
Damon is a 1988 graduate of Western New England College where he earned a BSBA in Accounting. After spending 15 years working in accounting and operations, he is presently the owner and president of Alden Medical LLC, located in West Springfield. Alden Medical LLC is a medical device manufacturer serving hospitals and clinics internationally. Damon is also part owner and CEO of Ciden Technologies LLC, a developer and distributor of infection control solutions. Damon has lived in East Longmeadow for 6 years with his wife Maria and their children Meaghan, Joseph and Damon Jr. He joined the board in 2004. He also enjoys coaching youth sports in town, playing softball in the Springfield Men's League and spending leisure time with his family.
Adam Raczkowski, Treasurer
Adam is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of W.F. Young, Inc. headquartered in East Longmeadow Mass. W.F. Young is recognized as a worldwide leader in innovative, specialized health care brands that enhance the quality and enjoyment of life for families and their pets. He has over 30 years of general management experience. He has a BS degree in accounting from Boston College (1977, an MBA with a concentration in finance from Northeastern University (1981) and he is also a Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA). Adam's wife, Toni (1973), daughter Layne (2002) and son AJ (2005) are all graduates of the East Longmeadow school system. Adam is a member of the Board of Directors of W. F. Young, Inc. and he is also a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, a national trade organization representing manufacturers and distributors of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements. In Western Mass., he is on the board of the Springfield Homeless Employment and Training Committee and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, working hands-on at local building sites. Adam and his family currently reside in East Longmeadow.
Heather Bliss
Heather has been a resident of East Longmeadow since 1993. She and her husband Dave have two young children. Their oldest child is currently a student in East Longmeadow and their youngest will enter the school system in the next few years. Heather is employed by YPO-WPO International (Young Presidents' and World Presidents' Organization) as the Regional Manager for the Northeastern US and also heads up the Forum and Youth & Legacy programs for the Northeastern US as well. YPO-WPO is an International organization with more than 20,000 members and Chapters in more than 100 countries. YPO-WPO's main objective is to create better leaders through education and idea exchange. Prior to joining the YPO-WPO International management team, she was the Administrator of the Western New England Chapter of YPO-WPO for three years.
Laura Caine
Laura joined the board in 2004. She is a graduate of Cathedral High School (1982) and received a BSW from Salem State College and a Paralegal Certification from Elms College. She spent 10 years as a housing administrator in Western Mass before becoming an Investigator for the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General. Laura is now a stay at home mom residing in East Longmeadow with her husband Marty and their two children Maeve (Mountainview School) and Aidan (Meadow Brook School).

Lynn Brown
Lynn (LaClair) Brown is a native of East Longmeadow and was a member of the ELHS class of 1981. Following high school, she graduated with an accounting degree from North Adams State College and then went on to earn a MBA - Finance from Western New England College. She has been employed in the banking industry for the past 23 years and is currently a Vice President of Commercial Lending at The Bank of Western Massachusetts. Lynn is married to Tim Brown and they have two children, Nick in 6th grade at Birchland and Ashley in 2nd grade at Meadowbrook (in 2008). Lynn joined the Endowment Board in 2005 and also serves as a board member and volunteer to several other local non-profits.

Laurie Cirillo
Laurie (Schermerhorn) Cirillo (ELHS '79) joined the Board of Directors in 2000. Laurie earned both her BSBA in Accounting and MBA from Western New England College. She has served as Treasurer for several school's PTO's as well as participated in various volunteering capacities in the school system. Laurie has resided in East Longmeadow since 1987 with her husband Mike and their two children.
Maria D'Amico
Maria is a graduate of Westfield High School, and a 1988 graduate of Elms College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is a licensed, registered nurse, currently working part time as a substitute nurse in the East Longmeadow Public Schools. Maria has been involved in the East Longmeadow Public School system since 1999, volunteering in many capacities. She has distributed fluoride, acted as room parent, class room helper, field trip chaperone, recess monitor, and has been on many PTO committees throughout the years. She joined ELEEF as a dance committee member in 2004, and as a board member in 2008. She is also currently the 10th grade parent representative, and secretary to the MacDuffie School Parent Association. Maria has resided in East Longmeadow since 1999, with her husband Damon and their three children, Meaghan, Joseph and Damon Jr.

Dean Dulchinos
Dean is a Managing Director in the Real Estate Finance Group of Babson Capital Management, a MassMutual Financial Group Company, where he is responsible for high yield debt investment and management of private equity investment funds. He was previously employed as legal counsel to MassMutual and Babson Capital, with oversight of the high yield debt, capital markets and syndication groups, and in private legal practice. Dean received a B.S.B.A. in Finance from Western New England College and a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. He has volunteered his time in various capacities with The National Ski Patrol, The Appalachian Mountain Club, and The Massachusetts Audubon Society and in connection with various charitable fund raising efforts. Dean resides in East Longmeadow with his wife Michelle and their two children.
Jennifer Merrigan
Jennifer (Brega) Merrigan is a lifelong resident of East Longmeadow and a 1992 graduate of East Longmeadow High School. Jennifer received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in History from Providence College in 1996 and 1998. A former History teacher at Agawam High School, Jennifer now teaches History at Springfield College and Bay Path College as an Adjunct Professor. Jennifer resides in East Longmeadow with her husband Sean and their two young children, Jack and Sam.
Marna Shields
Marna lives in East Longmeadow with her husband Michael and their 3 children. She has been on the board since 2005. She graduated from North Adams State College (Now Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts) with a degree in Elementary Education, and earned her Masters in Education from Leslie College in 2000. Marna is the owner/Director of Busy Bees Pre-School in East Longmeadow. Busy Bees serves 64 families with children ages 3-5. (www.busybeespreschool.net)
She is involved with several committees with both the Field Club of Longmeadow and her church, and teaches Sunday school. She enjoys playing tennis, platform tennis, softball, hiking, and going on adventures with her family.
Greg Thompson
Greg is a resident of East Longmeadow and a member of the School Committee.
Mike Whitman
Mike is the Vice President of Commerical Banking at United Bank in East Longmeadow. Mike and his wife Donna have two daughters, Emma Grace who is a student at Meadow Brook and Diana a student at Mountain View School.

Angela Edwards
Angela is President and co-owner of Edwards Coastal Land Development, LLC, a real estate land acquisition and development corporation on South Padre Island, TX. She was a partner in the law firm of Melmed & Trombly in Stamford, CT where she specialized in consumer class action litigation and served as co-lead plaintiffs counsel in a number of prominent national class action cases, obtaining $150 million in settlements. Attorney Edwards is a member of the National Million Dollar Advocate s Forum and is licensed to practice in MA and CT and is a licensed MA real estate agent. She is a Merit Scholar graduate of Western New England School of Law where she earned her JD, and a Phi-Beta Kappa and All-College Honors gradate of Skidmore College. Angela and her husband, Rick, reside in East Longmeadow with their two children.
Mark Beglane, Clerk
Mark is a member of Bacon & Wilson, P.C.'s Real Estate Department with special expertise in the areas of condominium law, zoning and land use planning and development. In addition, Mark specializes in Municipal Law.
